Simfonia Pălăriilor

'Simfonia palariilor 2023' / 'The Symphony of hats', an event that took place on Saturday, December 9 in Pitesti, at the headquarters of the Ilfoveanu & Badea Cultural Foundation, on the occasion of the official launch of the Romanian Hat Association, was a unique event, the first of its kind in Romania. The talented Romanian hat makers who joined us delighted the audience with hats as they had never had the opportunity to see before: hats of high craftsmanship, because the pieces presented at this event were created at an exceptional artistic level.

The milliners participating in this event were Denisa Balanean, Liviu Codreanu, Ana Istodorescu, Kristina Dragomir, Maria-Carmen Syed Abdul Melnic and Diana Zamfir. Among the hats on display were hats worn by various stars as well as the winning hats of some international competitions abroad. The audience's applause and exclamations anticipated the words of praise and appreciation at the end of the show.

Amongst the guest were notable public figures, some of them receiving the title of honorary member of the association: singer Ozana Barabancea, actor Constantin Cotimanis, beautiful actress Iulia Dumitru, priest and portraitist Cristian Dragomirescu and local entrepreneur Ionut Dumitru. His Highness Prince Șerban Dimitrie Sturdza also received the title of honorary member in absentia, and the title of honorary president naturally went to the renowned craftsman Nicolae Zdarca, the oldest hatmaker in Romania.

We are extremely happy that we managed to reach the hearts of the people of Romania and that we had such a response from them. We look forward to seeing them again next year, at the second edition of the 'Symphony of Hats' festival, where we hope to have more Romanian hatmakers and milliners with us.
