Maria Carmen is an established couture Hat maker. She is a true blue milliner who is devoted to perfection in her millinery commissions. She has learned millinery from master milliners in the UK, Australia, US and trained under the oldest surviving hat-maker in Romania (Meșterul Nicolae Zdârcă)

Her ready to wear millinery creations exuberate a synergy of classic millinery styling fused with avant-garde materials and techniques.
 

Apart from being responsible for setting up the 'Asociația Pălărierilor din România' and leading it, Carmen is also the founder of 'Academia de Pălării' - the online learning website for hat making. 

Carmen is also the Editor-in-chief for the 'Pălării' magazine.

Apart from pioneering the establishments of the above organisations, Carmen is an active mother, daughter and wife.

Her goal is to bring back hats in day to day fashion and usage in Romania.
